Defensible Space Mapping

Field tools for wildfire-ready properties.

Built for real terrain, not flat diagrams.

Defensible space guidance can be difficult to apply on steep ground, wooded lots, and multi-structure rural properties. ClearZone is being built to help people see those distances more clearly while standing on the land itself.

Zone Visualization

Map clearance zones around homes, outbuildings, and other structures with simple distance-based tools.

Property Walk Notes

Walk a property and mark observations, hazards, clearing priorities, and completed work directly on the map.

Local Conditions Reference

Planned tools to help users quickly reference local burn restrictions, seasonal conditions, and wildfire-related notices.

Documentation Support

Create simple records for defensible space planning, property preparation, and personal wildfire-readiness efforts.

Why ClearZone exists.

Wildfire preparation looks very different on real rural properties than it does in printed diagrams. Slopes, brush, fences, outbuildings, access roads, and uneven terrain can make defensible space difficult to visualize. ClearZone is being built as a simple field companion to help property owners better understand and organize preparation work on the ground.

Visualize defensible space distances around structures
Organize clearing priorities and property walk-throughs
Reduce confusion around wildfire-preparation tasks
Built for practical use on rural properties and uneven terrain

Built with privacy and local trust in mind.

ClearZone is designed as a voluntary planning and documentation tool for property owners. The app is not intended for surveillance, enforcement, or remote property monitoring.

Property owners control what information they save or share
No automatic reporting to agencies or third parties
Built to support practical wildfire-preparation efforts
Designed for real-world field use, not compliance enforcement

Local field testing is underway.

ClearZone is currently in active development and early field testing across rural properties in the Sierra foothills. Feedback from property owners and local users is helping shape the workflow and future direction of the tool.
